Dharma Investments Limited has collaborated with Dow Jones Inc. in developing the world’s first Hindu/Buddhist financial product – The Dow Jones Dharma Index.
Dharma Investments differentiates itself by developing strong intellectual property. The DJDI will be established on a robust set of parameters as decided by a global team of academics and continuously monitored by a carefully selected Supervisory Board. Exclusive and bespoke company-specific data analysis also enables the Supervisory Board to make the best possible decisions that determine whether a company is included or excluded from the Index.
There are a number of critical relationships that have made the the Dow Jones Dharma Index possible. It has been made possible by collaboration between Dharma Investments Limited, Dow Jones Inc., Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, Oxford Centre for Buddhist Studies and Riskmetrics.
The set of values captured by the DJDI covers a range of ideals that we believe will resonate with both religious adherents and nonreligious ethical investors, particularly given current considerations for the environment and non-violence.
